无条件贷款十五万元
从长远来衡量轻重之后,就要力争到底,成功必属于你。
向别人请托事情时，有时候这说服工作是很难堪的。如果对方很干脆地答应了，那还好；但是大多数对方都会搬出许多理由来搪塞，或是故意提出一些条件来婉拒。
请求的一方，如果在遭到拒绝以后，就打消再争取的念头，事情就无法再有进展了。虽然，遭受拒绝后心灰意懒，是人之常情，但是，一旦断了念头——那很可能再也无法挽回了
公元一九二八年，松下公司正在进行一项新的建设。那项工程的土地需要五万五千元，建筑物需要九万元，内部设备需五万元，合计是十九万五千元。在当时，这是一个规模相当大的工厂了。我那时打定主意，无论如何，一定要把它建起来。
问题是，当时我手里只有五万元，还差十四万五千元。这笔钱，无论如何，我得想办法筹到。于是，我选择了唯一的一条路——贷款。除非向银行贷款，否则这项工程无法进行。
决定之后，我马上与有来往的银行负责人见面，说明新厂的建设计划，并要求贷款十五万元。这家分行经理向我得出很多细节问题，我都据实一一相告，包括：生产能力、销售状况、资金回收情形等等。
听了我的说明，这位经理点点头说：[我明白了，你这个计划非常好，但是十五万这个数目太庞大了，我必须跟总行商量过后，才给给你答复。]
这位经理的回答，我十分满意，于是我就回来了。心想借钱的事， 应该不会有问题了。不过，在得到正式答复之前，还是不要把话说得太早。三在之后，答复来了。经理说，可以替松下筹十五万元，我心里正高兴，但是银行经理紧接着又说：[但是，要我们将这笔钱以无担保的方式贷出，恐怕有困难......]
[......]我盯着他。
[通常贷出这么宏大金额，需要实价二十万元以上的担保物。但是听过欠上次的说明，我知道，实际上你们根本无法提出这些担保，所以我们希望，你能够将你的土地、建筑物拿来担保，如果再不够，以松下的信用作保，也可以。]经理说。
这样的回答应该叫人感谢万分了。目前我所能担保的，确实只有五万元。然而他们愿意将此作为十五万元的担保，这实在是很大的优待。我相信，换作其他人，也会感激这位银行经理的。
但是当然，我并未马上做出决定，因为我对[信用]二字感到疙疙瘩瘩的，假如不动产作担保来贷款的话，那么就着着实实发展下去的松下的信用来看，这样做是不太理想的。
虽然这样不理想，但是我们实在需要借钱。依目前来看，也只有将[信用]二字暂时撇下，将此事先谈妥再说。
我接着想，假使放弃公司多年来打下的信誉，那么目前的问题，就可以摆平了。可是松下的事业并不仅止于目前，这个经营将来还要发展下去。很显然的，我必须以长远的眼光来看此事。想到这里，我开始反省，这样做的意义何在。我若只顾目前有利条件，忽略这件对松下公司信誉可能的伤害，是否会照成更大的损失？因此，我必须好好地重新考虑这件事。
要放弃我坚持的立场很简单，我随时可以同意对方的决定。但是，如果我一旦放弃，就再也无法挽回了。斟酌良久，最后我对经理说：
[对贵行的决定，我个人衷心地感激。但是，若将不动产作担保来贷款，对松下公司一贯的企业经营形象，恐有影响，所以很冒昧地向您提出这个要求——是否贵行可以用无担保的方式，借给松下公司十五万元呢？]
这位银行经理沉思半天，并不开口。我继续说：
[至于还钱的事，我以为两年就足够了，请您放心。而且，敝厂的土地权利书及税捐处的建筑物保存登记权利书，也可以寄放在贵银行。我很希望您再给我一次机会，无条件地借给松下公司，可以吗？]这位银行经理点点头，他说：
[很好，我明白了，祝你能够如愿以偿。我会跟总行再联络一次，并且好好地说服他们。]
两三天后，银行通知我，决定无条件借松下十五万元。
