不可变成自动贩卖机
做生意的精神，和与客户之间建立的情感，不能被自动贩卖机所抹杀。
最近自动贩卖机大量被各行业采用，街上到处可以看到。投下硬币一按钮，需要的东西就会自动跑出来，非常方便，还可以解决人手不足的困难，可以说是很进步。
可是我却担心作生意的精神，也慢慢［自动贩卖机化］，那就糟糕了。说实在的，做生意，千万不可以失去心与心的联系。
［买卖］从形式上来看，是出售货品，收取货款；这一点和自动贩卖机没有两样。但做生意真的那么简单吗？我认为做生意的精神，应该包括对顾客感谢的心情，这是自动贩卖机做不到的。
古代商人有［睡觉时，脚不伸向顾客的方向］这种规矩。这种尊敬感谢的真情，自然会传给顾客，顾客也会对你产和一种偏爱。同样的东西在哪里买都是一样，可是偏爱到你店里买。这就是心与心的联系，感情的交融，这样的社会，不是充满了温暖？
这种情形，随着自动贩卖机的发达或公司机构的扩大，有逐渐衰退的倾向，做生意只要将东西卖出去就好了。可是，这么一来，人与人产关系，会愈来愈疏远，人人冷漠相对，社会哪有温暖可言？
最近和某公司有了生意关系，他们的董事长带礼物到公司拜访，使我非常感动。他把由我主持的［PHP］杂志创刊号(一九四六年四月号)送给我，而送给同席的关系企业董事长的，是该公司十几年前出售的电胡刀第一号制品。
由这些东西，可以知道他就是我们［ＰＨＰ］杂志的长期读者，也是我们电器公司的老顾客。我收到这礼物，比收到一千万元还高兴，同时也为能和这么富有人情味的董事长做生意，而感到光荣。这个公司在竞争非常激烈的同业中，仍能维持第一位的业绩，一定是他这种细心、热忱，打动了顾客的心，所造成心与心联系的成果。
这种心与心的联系，充满人情味的生意，无论社会怎样进步，公司如何扩大，都不应该受影响的。自动贩卖机的普及，是时代的产物，没什么不好。但是，人与人之间的生意，一定要重视心与心的联系，不要因自动贩卖机的出现，而被冲淡。
