《丁约翰的打拼》一个上海草根的奋斗记
过年放假，买了本《丁约翰的打拼》在家看看，这本书与现在人气很旺的《杜拉拉升职记》同属职场励志类书籍，但是个人感觉它比《杜拉拉升职记》更具可读性。书中没有无聊的调侃娱乐，只是纯粹的职场角逐，内容节奏快，人物心理描写也比较真实，对于职场身处劣势，苦于无出头之日的人，或许可以从中发现一些扭转乾坤之法。至于是否可取，有待商榷！人物成长背景在上海，书中也存在较浓厚的上海气息。
《丁约翰的打拼》一书中的主角丁约翰是一个出身底层的上海人，家境贫穷，学历不高，从小遭人看不起，因此立志“长大一定要出人头地”。经过多年的摸爬滚打，一步步走上了职业金字塔的顶端，最终成为成功企业家。主人公为达目的不择手段的一些卑劣做法，大家最好不要模仿，但书中也有一些值得学习和可取之处。
这本书有一个特别于同类书籍之处是，描写了国企、外企、私企三种不同企业工作环境的区别，对刚进职场或计划进入外企的新人们可以提供参考。同时还教导职场新人如何意识与防范职场陷阱。
书中引进了一些MBA案例、管理故事等，非常生动有趣，通过它们让人再次感叹：“只有知识方能改变命运”！即使如书中人物般出身草根，爱耍手段心机，专搞办公室政治，但决定他最后成功的还是勤于学习、善于思考的知识水平。
这本书的结尾有些仓促，让读者有种“正看到高潮部分，怎么就没头没脑地结束了”的感觉？对主人公创办的公司也没有后续的交代。虽然结尾不乏戏剧性，但我个人认为丁约翰作为一名职场人物，既然从职场开始，如果能从职场结束可能更具有说服力。
